Reporting From Glendale, California.
My mom does an imitation of me playing soccer as a kid. In her imaginative interpretation, I stand out in the field, cleats planted into the grass, hoping that the ball doesn’t come anywhere near me. I stand there, and I shade my eyes from the sun with my right hand, while swatting flies away with my left hand. When the ball comes toward me, I run in the other direction, expecting one of the other players to pick up my slack.
Now that's how you play a civilized game of soccer, Zidane!
