Demonic Jukebox*

Several people think Adam Ant's "Goody Two Shoes" belongs on the soundtrack of my life—"Don't drink, don't smoke/What do you do?" But for this week's Demonic Jukebox, I choose his racy 1985 song, "Strip"—"If I strip for you, will you strip for me?" I mean, that's more like it! I want to think that's what my life is all about! However, the music video, now over 20 years old, is shockingly tame. Adam does no more than flash a shoulder. Over and over again. If he shot that video today? At the very least, pubes. Sing it all week, folks:

[*Thusly titled because selected songs are so catchy that they will get stuck in your head all week, which is, frankly, demonic.]

  1. golfwidow Said,

I was always partial to Desperate But Not Serious, myself.

Have you noticed how much Adam Ant reminds one of Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean, nowadays?

  2. Peter Varvel Said,

I can't TELL you how gratifying it is to reach middle-age and see daily proof that "we're just following ancient history."
    So sexy! (well, back then . . . )

  3. God, I loved this song. 20 years old? OMG!

  4. Jon Hunt Said,

GOD, I love Adam Ant. GOOD CHOICE, sir.
