Demonic Jukebox*

For the period of about a month in 2000, I listened to just two CDs over and over again: The Magnetic Fields' Holiday (1994) and Thomas Dolby's Astronauts & Heretics (1992). It was like crack addiction. So this week's pick for the Demonic Jukebox is the from the latter album, which I don't really consider one of my favorites—however, there are three songs on there that are so great that they pretty much mark the second coming of Jesus: "I Love You Goodbye," "Silk Pyjamas," and the following song, "Close but No Cigar," a pop confection so perfect that you should know it by now but probably don't. So please, get to know Jesus, would you?:

[*Thusly titled because selected songs are so catchy that they will get stuck in your head all week, which is, frankly, demonic.]
