Jon Stewart devoted a whole lot of time to dragging Mike Huckabee into a smackdown over gay marriage with such confrontational (yet respectfully delivered) quips as "religion is far more of a choice than homosexuality." Watch:

  1. Dammit. I can't watch the video in my region.

  2. Why do some people always need an enemy? It's like the church is involved in a rap beef with queers.

  3. Quin Browne Said,

well, you can have SURROGATES, mike....haven't you heard of ricky martin???

  4. Quin Browne Said,

by mike, i meant huckabee, not the hot mr. valentino.

  5. This country is not a theocracy, which means that theocratic thugs like Huckbee have no business trying to legislate their archaic religious dogma on the rest of us. When they get cornered onto explaining what their beef is with gay marriage, they can't make a logical argument without looping back around to their religion.

It’s ironic that Republitards like W., Palin, Huckabee, et al, continue to harp on the ‘War on Terror’ when they're just as oppressive in their religious thuggery as the Taliban! Well . . . Taliban plus gay hustlers, meth, and public men's room sex.

  6. LAP Said,

"Semantics is cold comfort when it comes to humanity"...

I'm so impressed with Jon Stewart right now...

  7. TCDO, backwards country!

Mike, it boggles my mind that this is what they want to spend all their time, energy, and money on. Don't they have lepers to heal?

Quin, Huckabee has no heard of Ricky Martin, like he's never heard of evolution.

Joe, I wish Jon had asked Huckabee about people who get married who DON'T have children or CAN'T have children. Should their marriages be annulled?

LAP, Jon Stewart has so many quotable lines in that segment. I just want to hug him!
